The Town of Southold reminds residents and guests that have purchased both beach parking permits and landfill use permits that these permits are only to be hung from your vehicle’s rear view mirror while parked at a beach or visiting the Town Landfill. The placard should be removed and stored elsewhere while operating your vehicle on public roadways. By not removing the placards, a driver’s full vision is impaired and it is also a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
