Cutchogue Fire District Annual Election
ANNUAL ELECTION FOR FIRE COMMISSIONER OF THE CUTCHOGUE FIRE DISTRICT
Be it known that the ANNUAL ELECTION of the Cutchogue Fire District will take place on Tuesday December 14th, 2021 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 p.m. at the Cutchogue Fire House located at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY.
The purpose will be to elect (2) Commissioners: (1) Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2022 and ending on December 31, 2026.
Also, (1) Commissioner for a 1-year unexpired term, commencing on January 1, 2022 and ending on December 31, 2022.
All residents of the Cutchogue Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections by November 22nd, 2021 shall be eligible to vote.
Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot may either call for mailing (631-734-6907) or pick up the applications at the firehouse commencing November 23rd 8am.
The “Permanently Disabled” will be receiving ballots via mail on November 26th.
Last day to make application to receive a ballot by mail is December 7th.
Last day to pick up ballot at Firehouse is December 13th. Ballots must be received at the Cutchogue Firehouse by Tuesday December 14th by 5 PM.
Candidates for District Office shall file with the District Secretary, a signed letter, with their address, declaring their intention as a candidate for the office of Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term in the 2021 election or the 1-year term in 2021 election. Letter to be filed with the Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY no later than November 24th, 2020.
